Our visit to you was unique and it will stay that way. It was pure disappointment. The food was awful! Now you are welcome to point out to me that I should remain objective, should refrain from such sharp words ... etc ... and then I can only answer "that is objective" and I repeat again: the food was terribly bad. The schnitzels seem chased through the toaster or at least fried in the hairdresser. The fries were raw and cold and our little nephew's meal, namely a wiener sausage and fries, were also almost cold. We complained immediately and got a shrug and a tight sry. A shame is the food and service and the way you react to negative feedback. You almost insult the people here. I will give you one more thing to take with you. Even a negative review can be positive for you because you should learn from it. But you can't because you approach someone immediately instead of thanking them for negative feedback. Very professional. Well .... as I said .... we won't be back anyway ... but .... friends of ours will come to you tomorrow .... so you can give everything because they will report and also review;) everything quality.
We'll definitely be back when eaten very tasty,
Always beautiful. Good food, fair prices and today, despite Corona and a lot of stress, a super nice and careful service in the interior.
Very friendly service. Great selection of food and drinks.
Was there today for dinner with my best buddy. Nice, rustic ambience and good regional cuisine. We each had a schnitzel with fries and a salad. Proper ingredients, cleverly processed and reasonably priced. The only thing I didn't like was the waiter. He was very busy, but he seemed overwhelmed, forgot to order, didn't react when someone spoke to him and I didn't get the impression that he was listening to me. Well there are worse. What also bothered (but you can't blame the restaurant for that) was the couple with their two noisy children. Sorry but it sucks if you have to listen to this screeching while you want to eat in peace. If you can't keep your brats under control, don't go to restaurants or teach you how to behave.
Great location! Quaint, cozy with an incredibly great view. Mega friendly staff and an absolutely brilliant kitchen. Delicacies and creations of the very highest, down-to-earth culinary art! Hessian, regional and creative! We'd love to come back with a lot of hunger and thirst! Thank you for the great end to a successful day trip !!!!
Hi folks, I gave a very negative assessment about 8 months ago, and I can now give it a positive assessment. After at least 20 hikes on the Hoherodskopf and to the little snail at the Klause. The staff has become friendlier and fast service, the outside environment is partly clean and tidy. I haven't eaten the potato sausage anymore, it's too expensive for me. The other sausages and side dishes are tasty and fresh, the black coffee is also good and hot and not stale. keep it up that is the right attitude. I've saved one star, everything can be done better, that's my attitude towards life
Food / drink ok, service friendly and accommodating. A good place to take a short break.
We were very satisfied, the food was very tasty and the service staff extremely friendly and attentive. Everything in very good quality and always seasonal dishes. Definitely worth a visit!
We made a stop there during a motorcycle tour. When asked by the waitress, we ordered 2 pots of filter coffee. We even got the coffee on request. We were amazed at the bill, € 7.40, so a juicy € 3.70 per coffee pot.
Very nice service, food was great, location anyway. To recommend.
I was looking forward to a delicious schnitzel. When it was served at the table I was disappointed. You should adapt the plate to the schnitzel, because if the plate is too big, you have to look for the schnitzel. The Vulkan Schnitzel consisted of paprika and onions, although the paprika probably ran out, because only minimal strips of onions were visible with the glasses. The salad was served early this morning as it looked. It was totally gone.
Unfortunately we have a stunted hunter schnitzel and a volcano schnitzel for lunch. The portions were small, the fries weren't through and the salad was mushy. A shame for a TV cook (Hello Hessen) ?
A trip to the Hoherodskopf also includes a stop at the mountain hut. A good and tasty kitchen lets you linger here and the beautiful landscape does the rest. The staff is attentive, friendly and brisk. Everything was fine today, from the nice weather to the good food!
Great service, good food. The food is cheap and enough for a big hunger. We liked it very much. You can sit outside very nicely.
Delicious meal. Friendly service. Moderate prices. Great for a relaxing afternoon when the weather is nice. It's just a shame that many devices are broken in the adjacent playground and there is a lot of rubbish next to the (empty ?!) rubbish bins. But who knows who is responsible for it.
very good kitchen. Here is prepared with love. We feel very comfortable here.
The staff was friendly and we had a lovely afternoon. The mountain hut is optically very nicely located within various excursions for families.
Ordered today on the recommendation of the waitress "the yeast rhubarb cake with crumble is very good". Unfortunately, it tasted like the day before, dry and not fresh. Quite disappointed drove away again. She was advised of this when paying.
Price-performance ratio: average. Portions according to my taste for the price too small, but good taste. Service quick and friendly. Toilet: no rating possible since not used.
Go here for the view, restaurants, slide thingy, in winter for winter sports, forest walks, high rope kurs and a fun active time out with the whole family.
